QUESTION-ANSWER METHOD
In
this method, teacher asks questions and students answer them. The teacher asks questions on the previous
knowledge of the student. After having systemized the previous knowledge the teacher provides the new knowledge. The teacher has to awaken the curiosity and has
to create interest in the topic among his pupils. The new knowledge is answered, described and
discussed.
The idea of this method is very simple. This method can start the question-answering form with simple questions. but while planning to teach with this method teachers always keep in mind that all the types of questions must be included in the teaching planning because interacting with students is the main central idea of this method.

can be used in all teaching situations.

is helpful to ascertain the personal difficulties of the students.

§ Demerits Of Question – Answer Method

It
requires a lot of skill on the teacher's part to properly use this
method.
2.
It
may sometime mar the atmosphere of the class.
3.
This
method generally is quite embracing for timid students.
4.
It
is time-consuming.
5.
It
is difficult to prepare good questions, and arrange them logically.
6.
The
whole content matter cannot be taught by this strategy.
7. The teacher wants structured
answers from the learners. There is no
freedom for imaginative answers.
